A compressed air system (10) includes an electronic control (38) which controls enabling an disabling of the compressor (12) in response to pressure level variations in the system storage reservoir (24). The control unit responds to compressor disabling by causing the system air dryer (26) to regenerate or purge for a predetermined time period. The timing period of a charge timer (80) is initiated when the compressor is enabled. When the charge timer has timed out; the compressor is disabled and the air dryer purged for the predetermined time period.
Un système à air comprimé (10) comprend une commande électronique qui commande la mise en marche ou l'arrêt d'un compresseur (12) en réaction à des variations du niveau de pression dans le réservoir (24) de stockage du système. L'unité de commande réagit à l'arrêt du compresseur en commandant la régénération ou la purge du dessicateur d'air du système pendant une période prédéterminée.
