PBN 8538 19.8.77 ABSTRACT: A charge coupled device of the bulk CTD type, which is used as an electronic variable delay line for video frequency signals. The clock frequency is varied from 15 to 35 MHz. The charge packets are formed by integration of the input signal current over the en- tire clock period of the clock signal. As a result, the cross-talk of the clock signal to the input sec- tion does not affect the video signal to be processed. Furthermore, the non-linear characteristic of the in- put current source is linearized by negative current feedback with the aid of an operational amplifier. - 20 -
