A charging device for a shaft furnace, which comprises at least one charging hopper having a discharge orifice arranged in a position off-centre with respect to the central axis of the shaft furnace, and a material distribution device arranged below this hopper. The material distribution device comprises a feed channel coaxial with the central axis of the furnace and a rotatable, pivotable chute, which is arranged below the feed channel for distributing a charge in the shaft furnace. The charging device also comprises a connecting box in the shape of a funnel, arranged between the material distribution device and the charging hopper. The connecting box possesses a lower central outlet communicating with the charging hopper and at least one upper inlet which is arranged off-centre with respect to the central axis of the furnace and communicates with the discharge orifice of the hopper. According to the invention, the charging device comprises at least one spreader situated upstream of the distribution device, on the trajectory of the material discharged from the discharge orifice. The spreader enables a flow of material to be dispersed to both sides of the feed channel.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de chargement pour un four à cuve, lequel dispositif comprend au moins une trémie de chargement pourvue d'un orifice de décharge ménagé à une position excentrée par rapport à l'axe central du four à cuve, et un dispositif de distribution de matériau placé en dessous de cette trémie. Le dispositif de distribution de matériau comprend un canal d'alimentation coaxial avec l'axe central du four et un couloir pivotant et rotatif disposé sous le canal d'alimentation afin de distribuer une charge dans le four à cuve. Le dispositif de chargement comprend également une boîte de raccordement présentant la forme d'un entonnoir, laquelle boîte est placée entre le dispositif de distribution de matériau et la trémie de chargement. La boîte de raccordement est pourvue d'un orifie d'évacuation central inférieur qui communique avec la trémie de chargement et au moins un orifice d'admission supérieur qui est ménagé de manière excentrée par rapport à l'axe central du four et qui communique avec l'orifice d'évacuation de la trémie. Selon le mode de réalisation décrit dans cette invention, le dispositif de chargement comprend au moins un répartiteur placé en amont du dispositif de distribution sur la trajectoire du matériau déchargé depuis l'orifice de décharge. Ce répartiteur permet de répartir l'écoulement de matériau vers les deux côtés du canal d'alimentation.
