ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A charging generator for a vehicle comprises a stator, a rotor mounted on a shaft, a pair of slip-rings mounted on the rotor and a Pair of brushes sliding on the slip-rings. A brush holder is provided for each brush. A first hole is formed in each brush in the shaft direction. A housing surrounds the stator, rotor and brushes. A second hole is formed in the housing to allow a pin to be inserted into the first hole from outside the housing so as to hold the brushes away from the slip-rings during assembly. A lubricant which is centered in a lubricant holder, seals the second hole.
