ABSTRACT Disclosed is a chassis for a postage stamping machine which will permit pre-assembly and adjustment of individual sub-assemblies, thus simplifying the assembly of the machine and reducing production costs. The chassis comprises a baseplate carrying a U-shaped frame having two similarly shaped sides comprising perforations for the accommodation of ball-bearings for a printing drum shaft. Incisions are provided at the peripheries of the perforations in which adjusting devices are placed. Pivotable retaining elements are secured to the sides and the sides are joined together by means of two bars for mutual support at the open part of the frame.
