-11- Check Valve Abstract A low pressure drop check valve includes an apertured, streamlined guide body and a streamlined poppet or valve member disposed within a housing. Forward flow through the valve unseats the valve member, thereby allowing flow around the valve member and guide body. Reverse flow is accommodated by the apertures in the guide body, flow through the apertures being applied to a surface of the valve member, thereby seating the valve member for block- ing such reverse flow. The check valve is also provided with means for minimizing valve member oscillation and bounce.
