A valve having a single compartment housing a check valve and a filter. A sealing mat is slidingly engaged to a valve stem within the compartment, and the filter fits over and around the sealing mat and the valve stem. The valve stem may also be slidingly disposed within the valve, and the maximum open position of the sealing mat on the valve stem may also be adjusted.
