Abstract A warning lamp checking circuit for use in vehicles having a main switch, a starter switch and at least one condition warning lamp. The condition warning lamp can be operative or inoperative. Closing both the main switch and the starter switch causes the condition warning lamp to light for about one second if the condition warning lamp is operative irrespective of the condition, thereby giving any operator of the vehicle an opportunity to observe the operative nature of the condition warning lamp each time the starter switch is closed. After about one second the condition warning lamp lights if, and only if, the condition switch is closed thereby indicating the state of the condition.
