A method and apparatus is disclosed for use in weighing products having circular or oval footprint configurations. A conveyor having a pair of parallel conveyor elements arranged to underengage the footprint only adjacent the periphery thereof transports the products one at a time across a planar surface of a weigh pan or scale device. The surface of the weigh pan is shaped and the transverse spacing between the conveyor elements is adjustable in order to permit lengths of the surface of the weigh pan engaged by the conveyor elements to be selected to correspond essentially to dimensions of differently sized products to be weighed.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode ainsi qu'un dispositif utilisés aux fins de pesage d'articles dont l'empreinte de base est de configuration circulaire ou ovale. Un transporteur constitué d'une paire de convoyeurs parallèles disposés de manière à supporter les objets en question par la seule périphérie de leur base achemine les articles en question, un à un, au-dessus de la surface planaire d'un bac de pesage ou d'une balance. La surface du bac de pesage présente une forme prédéterminée, et l'espacement transversal entre les convoyeurs est réglable, ce qui permet de régler la longueur de la surface du bac de pesage venant en contact avec les convoyeurs en fonction des différentes dimensions des articles destinés au pesage.
