A conveyor having a pair of parallel conveyor elements (26b, 126) arranged to underengage the flange of a product (130), or the periphery of the product, while weighing it. The length of the weigh pan (20, 120) is set to be the lowest value required to achieve a desired settle time for the weigh pan; ideally, the length of the pan is equal to the diameter (36) of the product (12) to be weighed.
