A B S T R A C T CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS Image (I) wherein R1 is C1-8alkyl optionally interrupted by an oxygen atom, R2 is hydrogen, fluoro, bromo, chloro, methyl or trifluoromethyl; R3 is hydrogen or fluoro and in vivo hydrolysable esters and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are described as .beta.3-adrenoceptor agonists having anti-obesity and related therapeutic utilities. Processes for their preparation are described as are compositions containing them.
