A process for imaging a lithographic printing plate (20) having a presensitizing coating. An ink jet printer (22) is used to apply imagewise micro drops of an insolubilizing solution that insolubilizes exposed areas of the coating. The latent image (26) is then developed. The process works with conventional, commercially available developing processors.

L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'images sur un cliché litographique (20) présentant un revêtement photosensible. Une imprimante à jet d'encre (22) est utilisée pour appliquer, dans le sens de l'image, des micro-gouttes d'une solution d'insolubilisation des zones exposées du revêtement.
