The invention relates to an improvement in the printability of uncoated mechanical pulp paper grades, especially to an improvement in the printability of supercalendered (SC) papers, particularly in rotogravure printing. In the method according to the invention, a mixture of alkyl ketene dimer and styrene maleic acid anhydride co-polymer is applied onto the paper web in connection with supercalendering.

L'invention concerne une amélioration apportée au niveau de l'impression de qualités de pâtes de papiers mécaniques non couchés, en particulier une amélioration apportée à l'impression de papiers satinés (SC), notamment par rotogravure. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, on applique un mélange de dimère alkyle cétène et de copolymère anhydride d'acide maléique styrène sur la bande de papier en liaison avec le satinage.
