A container for a chemiluminescent lighting element is made of two pouches, one disposed within the other, with the pouches containing an oxalate and an activator, respectively. The inner pouch, holding the oxalate, is made of a gas tight foil, such as aluminum, and the outer pouch holding the activator is made of a translucent polymeric film. The inner pouch is ruptured to mix the oxalate and the activator and initiate the chemiluminescent light which may be further reflected if the pouch is made of aluminum foil. The outer pouch may have a shaped nonwoven material inside in which the activator is absorbed so that the chemiluminescent light may project the shape.

L'invention concerne un élément d'éclairage chimiluminescent comportant deux chambres remplies respectivement d'une solution d'oxalate (5) et d'une solution activatrice. La solution oxalate se trouve dans une pochette (1) étanche en film mince (2, 3) d'aluminium doublé, côté intérieur, d'un polymère, p.e. une polyoléfine, et forme ainsi la première chambre. Cette dernière est enfermée dans une pochette étanche plus grande (6) en film polymérique (7, 8) translucide, formant la deuxième chambre, qui contient également l'activateur liquide (10). La pochette extérieure est constituée de deux films polymériques (7, 8) scellés ensemble sur leur périphérie et contient une bille (11) susceptible d'éventrer la pochette intérieure (1) par action manuelle de l'utilisateur.
