Abstract This invention relates to an apparatus for providing a heating or cooling output through chemical absorption (or chemi- sorption). In particular, this invention relates to a new vehi- cle air cooling system using waste heat from the vehicle's engine to drive the chemisorption cooling cycle. The invention also makes use of dry chemical absorbent materials which have high heats of reaction representing high levels of cooling energy, and provides a compact, low-demand system design.
