This invention relates to heterocyclic compounds of formula IIIe (see formula IIIe) wherein n4, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R6 are defined as further described herein. Compounds of the invention bind to chemokine receptors, including CXCR4 and CCR5, and demonstrate positive effects against infection of target cells by a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

L'invention concerne des composés hétérocycliques constitués d'un atome d'azote central entouré par trois groupes pendants, deux de ces groupes étant de préférence du benzimidazolyl méthyle et du tétrahydroquinolyle, le troisième groupe pendant contenant N et facultativement des cycles supplémentaires. Les composés selon l'invention se fixent sur les récepteurs de la chimiokine, notamment sur les récepteurs CXCR4 et CCR5, et présentent des effets protecteurs contre l'infection de cellules cibles par le virus d'immunodéficience humaine (VIH).
