The present invention relates to antagonists of chemokine receptor CCR3 and to a method for treating a subject with a disease associated with aberrant leukocyte recruitment and/or activation. The antagonist is an hexapeptide capable of inhibiting a beta-chemokine from binding to a CCR3 receptor. The method comprises the step of administering to a patient a therapeutically effective amount of an hexapeptide antagonist of chemokine receptor CCR3. The hexapeptide antagonist binds between a beta-chemokine and the receptor CCR3, thereby preventing a beta-chemokine from binding to the receptor CCR3.

L'invention concerne des antagonistes du récepteur CCR3 de chimiokine, et une méthode de traitement d'un sujet souffrant d'une maladie liée au recrutement et/ou à l'activation de leucocytes aberrants. L'antagoniste est un hexapeptide capable d'inhiber la liaison d'une chimiokine bêta à un récepteur CCR3.
