The invention relates to chewing gum comprising at least one polymer, chewing gum ingredients and enzymes, wherein at least on of said polymers forms a substrate for at least one of said enzymes. According to the invention the degradation of chewing gum comprising a combination of biodegradable polymers and enzymes is accelerated compared to chewing gum without enzymes. By incorporation of enzymes it is possible to obtain a chewing gum, which is relatively fast degrading compared to chewing gum , which is exposed to normal environmental conditions only.

Cette invention se rapporte à une gomme à mâcher comprenant au moins un polymère, des ingrédients de gomme à mâcher et des enzymes, au moins un de ces polymères formant un substrat pour au moins une de ces enzymes. Conformément à l'invention, la dégradation d'une gomme à mâcher comprenant une combinaison de polymères biodégradables et d'enzymes est accéléré par rapport à une gomme à mâcher sans enzymes. En incorporant des enzymes, on peut obtenir une gomme à mâcher qui se dégrade relativement vite par rapport aux gomme à mâcher exposées à des conditions ambiantes normales uniquement.
