The present invention is a method of increasing the flavor release of chewing gum using an alginate material, as well as the chewing gum containing the alginate material and having increased flavor release. The increase in flavor release is obtained by incorporating the alginate material in a powder form (without having been used as a coating material) directly into the chewing gum composition. The alginate material is selected from the group consisting of sodium alginate, carrageenan from red seaweed, propylene glycol alginate, sodium calcium alginate, ammonium alginate, calcium alginate and mixtures thereof.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'accroissement de libération de saveur de gomme à mâcher à l'aide d'alginate et la gomme à mâcher contenant l'alginate et présentant une libération de saveur améliorée. Cette accroissement de libération de saveur est obtenu par incorporation d'alginate, sous forme de poudre (sans qu'il ait été utilisé comme matériau de revêtement), directement dans la composition de gomme à mâcher. L'alginate est choisi dans le groupe qui comprend un alginate de sodium, un carraghénane d'algue rouge, un alginate de propylène glycol, un alginate de sodium et de calcium, un alginate d'ammonium, un alginate de calcium ainsi que des mélanges de ces produits.
