The front door of most conventional ovens can become extremely hot to the touch. Children are typically attracted to appliances and can easily be burned from brushing by the appliance, or through direct contact with the appliance. While there are protectors from appliance dials and stove top burners, there are no known protective devices to prevent burns of this nature. This invention is for a cover made of fire retardant material (Solari insulation with Teflon outer cover) that would cover the oven door of most conventional ovens. Velcro tabs affixed to the sides of the oven door will hold it in place and an opening for the oven door handle will allow access to the oven. With the Child Proof Oven Door Cover, the outside front of the oven door will not be hot to the touch.
