ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A child's car seat is disclosed which consists of two basic parts, the first comprising a base, frame, and back, and the second consisting of a seat removably secured to the base adja- cent the back whereby, when the seat is secured to the base, a child's car seat is provided for infants and small toddlers and, when the seat is removed from the base, a booster seat is pro- vided for larger children. The seat includes a split shield secured to the seat portion so as to be used in both the car seat and booster seat configuration. A harness, including a crotch strap, is provided for use when the car seat configuration is used.
