ABSTRACT There is provided a construction component for a child's play event, which includes an elongated, unitary, hollow slab of substantially rectangular configuration having two ends and two opposed major walls. The slab is provided with slot means at both ends, by means of which the slab can be interfitted with other like slabs. In a preferred form, the slab includes at least one integral sleeve bridging between the major walls and defining an opening which a child can grasp or step in, the sleeve providing reinforce- ment between the major walls.
