The CAMP factor gene of Streptococcus uberis (S. uberis) is described, as well as the recombinant production of CAMP factor therefrom. Also disclosed are chimeric CAMP factor constructs, including CAMP factor epitopes from more than one bacterial species. The CAMP factors and chimeras including the same can be used in immunogenic compositions for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections.

La présente invention concerne le gène du facteur CAMP de <i>Streptococcus uberis</i> (<i>S.uberis</i>), ainsi que la production par recombinaison du facteur CAMP à partir de <i>Streptococcus uberis</i>. L'invention se rapporte également à des produits de recombinaison du facteur CAMP chimère, notamment à des épitopes du facteur CAMP à partir d'au moins deux espèces bactériennes. Les facteurs CAMP et les chimères contenant lesdits facteurs peuvent être utilisés dans des compositions immunogènes destinées à la prévention et au traitement des infections bactériennes.
