An adapter for allowing movement of a tent on a chimney extending through the tent and for resisting entry of weather elements into the tent. The adapter comprises a first and second plate with fasteners to maintain the first and second plate in their assembled condition with the tent sandwiched therebetween. The tent has a hole cut therein for passage of the chimney and the fasteners extend between the plates within the hole. The plates likewise have holes cut therein which allow passage of the chimney and which allow movement of the tent and the adapter relative to the adapter.
