The invention relates to a chipper knife with at least one cutting edge (6) along at least one of its side edges. The chipper knife is adapted to be mounted in chippers of the kind which are used to cut chips of a desired size and shape from pieces of wood or timber (7) and which comprise a tool, in the form of a plane or conical disc, which is arranged for rotation about an axis of rotation and on which a plurality of such chipper knifes (2) are mountable in such manner that one end of the cutting edge of the chipper knife is located closer to the axis of rotation of the tool than the opposite end of the cutting edge. The cutting edge (6) of the chipper knife is formed between a timber-guiding surface and a chip-guiding surface, the timber-guiding surface having a varying angle along its length in relation to a plane of rotation in such a way that the angle is greater at the end of the cutting edge located closest to the axis of rotation decreases in the outward direction. The chip-guiding surface of the chipper knife also has a varying angle along its length in relation to a plane of rotation in such a way that the angle is smaller at the end of the cutting edge located closest to the axis of rotation and increases in the outward direction in order to obtain a cutting edge angle between the timber-guiding surface and the chip-guiding surface (13) that is essentially constant along the whole length of the cutting edge.
Cette invention se rapporte à une lame de déchiqueteuse ayant au moins un bord tranchant (6) le long d'au moins l'un de ses bords latéraux. Cette lame de déchiqueteuse est conçue pour être montée dans des déchiqueteuses du type utilisé pour produire des copeaux de taille et de forme souhaitées à partir de pièce de bois (7) et qui comprend un outil, ayant la forme d'un disque plan ou conique, destiné à tourner autour d'un axe de rotation et sur lequel sont montées plusieurs lames de ce type (2), de telle sorte que l'un des bords tranchants de la lame soit situé plus près de l'axe de rotation de l'outil que l'extrémité opposée du bord tranchant. Le bord tranchant (6) de cette lame de déchiqueteuse est formé entre une surface de guidage du bois et une surface de guidage des copeaux, la surface de guidage du bois ayant un angle variable sur sa longueur par rapport à un plan de rotation, de telle sorte que cet angle soit plus grand à l'extrémité du bord tranchant situé près de l'axe de rotation et diminue en s'en éloignant. La surface de guidage des copeaux de cette lame de déchiqueteuse possède également un angle variable sur sa longueur par rapport à un plan de rotation, de telle sorte que cet angle soit plus petit à l'extrémité du bord tranchant situé près de l'axe de rotation et augmente en s'en éloignant, ce qui permet d'obtenir un angle de bord tranchant entre la surface de guidage du bois et la surface (13) de guidage des copeaux qui est essentiellement constant sur toute la longueur du bord tranchant.
