A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a delivery apparatus for discharging loose bulk material, and treating the material, said apparatus comprising: a generally funnel-shaped stationary top portion; an oscillatable bottom portion including a flexible outlet for the material; an activator cone and a hollow vibration extender ring connected to said bottom portion by a plurality of hollow arms extending from said cone, said ring being concentric with said cone said material outlet; power means for oscillating said bottom portion with respect to said top portion; and means for adding steam to the interior of the volume defined by said top and bottom portions, said steam adding means including a plurality of openings formed in said ring, and means for operatively connecting up said ring hollow interior to a source of steam, said connecting means including at least one of said hollow arms, and a conduit between said at least one hollow arm and said ring.
