A flexible flame-retardant chlorinated polyolefin resin composition contains no plasticizer, generates almost no halogen-containing gas and no significant amounts of smoke during combustion. Uses thereof are also given. The chlorinated polyolefin resin composition comprises 50-95 parts of a chlorinated polyolefin, 50-5 parts of a copolymer of ethylene/a compound having ethylenic unsaturated groups/carbon monoxide (the total amount of this copolymer and the chlorinated polyolefin being 100 parts), 10-100 parts of a metal hydroxide, and 10-100 parts of calcium carbonate ("parts" herein indicates parts by weight); a formed article formed by shaping this chlorinated polyolefin resin composition; and a process for imparting flame retardancy using this chlorinated polyolefin resin composition.
L'invention concerne une composition de résine polyoléfine chlorée souple retardatrice de flamme ne comprenant pas de plastifiant et générant presque pas de gaz renfermant de l'halogène et pas de quantités importantes de fumée pendant la combustion. L'invention concerne également des utilisations de cette composition. La composition de résine polyoléfine chlorée comprend 50-95 parties d'une polyoléfine chlorée, 50-5 parties d'un copolymère d'éthylène/un composé présentant des groupes insaturés éthylène/monoxyde de carbone (la quantité totale de ce copolymère et de la polyoléfine chlorée étant de 100 parties), 10-100 parties d'un hydroxyde métallique, et 10-100 parties d'un carbonate de calcium (<= parties >= indiquant ici des parties en poids). L'invention concerne en outre un article profilé par formage de cette composition de résine polyoléfine chlorée, ainsi qu'un procédé permettant de conférer des propriétés retardatrices de flammes au moyen de cette composition de résine polyoléfine chlorée.
