A method for bleaching lignocellulose-containing fiber material in the form of chemical pulp without using chloric bleaching agents where the pulp is treated with chelating agent and is bleached with ozone and peroxide. Immediately after the ozone bleaching the pulp is treated with chelating agent in a second chelating step at a pulp concentration of 1-10 % for 1-30 minutes at the temperature of 20-90 °C and the pH value 1,5-5. The pulp thus treated is washed and dewatered to a concentration of 8-40 % prior to the peroxide bleaching.

L'invention conerne un procédé de blanchiment de matières fibreuses contenant de la lignocellulose se présentant sous forme de pâte chimique dans lequel aucun agent de blanchiment chlorique n'est utilisé, la pâte étant traitée au moyen d'un agent de chélation, blanchie à l'ozone et au peroxyde. Immédiatement après le blanchiment à l'ozone, la pâte est traitée au moyen d'un agent de chélation dans une deuxième phase de chélation à une concentration de 1 à 10 % de pâte pendant 1 à 30 minutes, à une température de 20 à 90 DEG C et un pH de 1,5 à 5. La pâte ainsi traitée est lavée et essorée de manière à obtenir une concentration de 8 à 40 % avant le blanchiment au peroxyde.
