The present invention provides methods and compositions for the transformation of duckweed plastids. The compositions and methods of the invention are useful in increasing the recombinant protein production capacity of the duckweed expression system. The compositions of the invention include transformed duckweed plastids and transplastomic duckweed cells and plants, as well as nucleic acid constructs useful for transforming duckweed plastids. The invention also provides methods for introducing one or more heterologous nucleotide sequences into a duckweed plastome.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions permettant de transformer des plastes de pourpier. Les compositions et les procédés de l'invention sont utilisés pour augmenter la capacité de production de protéines de recombinaison du système d'expression du pourpier. Lesdites compositions comprennent des plastes transformés et des cellules transplastomiques de pourpier, et des plantes ainsi que des constructions d'acides nucléiques utilisées pour transformer lesdits plastes. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant d'introduire une ou plusieurs séquence(s) nucléotidique(s) hétérologue(s) dans un plastome de pourpier.
