A poly-.gamma.-glutamic acid derivative which has adequately controlled hydrophilicity and can be in the form of fine particles. By introducing cholesterol into poly-.gamma.-glutamic acid (PGA), a PGA derivative is provided which is in the form of fine particles having a particle diameter of 50-1,000 nm. This derivative can hence be used as mixtures with various biological materials (e.g., medicines) in various applications of biotechnology. Namely, the derivative can be used as, e.g., a carrier for medicines. It enables PGA to be used also in various applications in the field of nanotechnology, which is being studied recently.
L'invention concerne un dérivé d'acide poly-?-glutamique à caractère hydrophile régulé, pouvant se présenter sous forme de fines particules. L'introduction de colestyramine dans l'acide poly-?-glutamique (gamma-PGA) permet d'obtenir un dérivé de PGA sous forme de fines particules ayant un diamètre de particule compris entre 50 et 1'000 nm. Ce dérivé peut par conséquent être utilisé dans des mélanges contenant divers matériaux biocompatibles (des substances médicamenteuses, par exemple) dans diverses applications de biotechnologie. Plus précisément, le dérivé peut être utilisé, notamment, comme support pour des substances médicamenteuses. Il permet au PGA d'être utilisé également dans diverses applications dans le domaine des nanotechnologies, actuellement à l'étude.
