A mechanical holder is disclosed for holding Christmas trees of various sizes and trunk shapes. This holder consists of a base, a vessel fixed to the base and provided with a centring spike, and several holding elements (3, 3a, 3b, 3c) regularly spaced apart around the vessel. In their holding position above the vessel, the holding elements can swivel independently of each other to align and retain the Christmas tree with their faces towards the axis of symmetry. According to the invention, the Christmas tree stand has a single clamping device (4) which applies to the tree trunk the force required to align and retain the tree over several force transmitting (5, 6) and diverting (8, 9) elements in a manner as uniform as possible, by means of the holding elements (3, 3a, 3b, 3c), compensating for possible irregularities or slanted tree growth.
L'invention concerne un dispositif mécanique de retenue d'arbres de Noël de grandeurs et de troncs de formes diverses. Ce dispositif de retenue comprend une base, un récipient fixé à demeure à la base et pourvu d'une broche de centrage, ainsi que plusieurs éléments de retenue (3, 3a, 3b, 3c) régulièrement espacés autour du récipient. Dans leur position de retenue au-dessus du récipient, ces éléments peuvent pivoter indépendamment les uns des autres pour orienter et retenir un arbre de Noël avec leur surface tournée vers l'axe de symétrie. Selon l'invention, le support pour arbres de Noël comprend un seul dispositif de serrage (4) qui applique la force requise pour orienter et retenir l'arbre par l'intermédiaire de plusieurs éléments de transmission (5, 6) et de déviation (8, 9) de forces de manière aussi uniforme que possible sur le tronc de l'arbre, par l'intermédiaire des éléments de retenue (3, 3a, 3b, 3c), de façon à compenser des irrégularités éventuelles ou une inclinaison de l'arbre.
