ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a novel species of crystalline silicate containing chromia. The species exhibits an X-ray diffraction pattern similar to known aluminosilicates but is prepared by hydrothermally crystallizing an aqueous reaction mixture containing sources of quaternary alkyl-ammonium, chromium oxide, silica and an alkali metal oxide.
