ABSTRACT Chromone derivatives substituted by 3-amino-2-hydroxypropoxy side chains, such as 7-(3-n-propylamino-2-hydroxypropoxy)flavone, which are useful as antihypertensive agents. These compounds are effective to reduce hypertension without the undesirable side effects caused by beta-blocking in the beta-adrenergic nervous system.
