A cigarette extinguishing and storage device is of tubular shape and provided by telescoping elements (12, 14, 16) which define an enclosure in which a lit cigarette (20) is received to extinguish the same and in which the extinguished cigarette is stored until the smoker wishes to relight the same. Charcoal or other suitable deodorant means (22) is provided at the internal surface of the enclosure to absorb condensates from tobacco smoke. The device preferably is made of one or more plies of paper, so as to be disposable.

Un dispositif de rangement et d'extinction de cigarette présente une forme tubulaire et se compose d'éléments télescopiques (12, 14, 16) qui définissent une enceinte dans laquelle une cigarette allumée (20) est reçue afin d'être éteinte, et dans laquelle la cigarette éteinte est rangée jusqu'à ce que le fumeur décide de la rallumer. Du charbon, ou tout autre moyen (22) de désodorisation approprié est placé sur la surface interne de l'enceinte afin d'absorber les condensats provenant de la fumée de cigarette. Le dispositif est de préférence composé d'une ou plusieurs épaisseurs de papier, de façon à être jetable.
