A cigarette producing apparatus has a filter plug installation mechanism for coaxially butting a filter tip on an end section of a cigarette and then winding tip paper around the outer peripheral surface of the butt section; a laser perforating device for perforating air permeation holes in the tip paper by irradiating the tip paper with a laser beam to perforate the air permeation holes in the tip paper, the irradiation being made on that side (rear surface) of the tip paper which adheres to the cigarette and the filter plug; and an air permeability measuring device for measuring the air permeability of the tip paper. The laser perforating device is feedback controlled depending on the measured air permeability to adjust air permeation resistance (Vf) of a filter cigarette.

Un appareil de fabrication de cigarettes comporte un mécanisme d~installation de tampon de filtre pour mettre coaxialement en butée un bout de filtre et une section d~extrémité d~une cigarette puis enrouler du papier de bout autour d~une surface périphérique extérieure de la section de butée ; un dispositif de perforation laser pour perforer des trous d~infiltration d~air par perméabilité dans le papier de bout en irradiant le papier de bout d~un faisceau laser pour perforer les trous d~infiltration d~air par perméabilité dans le papier de bout, l~irradiation étant réalisée du côté (surface arrière) du papier de bout qui adhère à la cigarette et au tampon de filtre ; et un dispositif de mesure de la perméabilité à l~air pour mesurer la perméabilité à l~air du papier de bout. Le dispositif de perforation laser est asservi en fonction de la perméabilité de l~air mesurée afin d~ajuster le résistance à l~infiltration d~air par perméabilité (Vf) d~une cigarette à filtre.
