A cigarette package has a case (10), which has an open end (12) opened and closed with a tongue lid (16). The tongue lid (16) has a lid part (18), a tongue part (22), and a magnet (28) attached to the tongue part (22). To the front wall (10f) of the case (10), a sheet (34) which can be attracted to the magnet (28) is attached. While the tongue lid (16) is at a closing position, the magnet (28) and the sheet (34) hold the tongue part (22) on the front wall (10f) in cooperation with each other by the attracting force of the magnet (28). When the tongue lid (16) close-operates, the tongue part (22) knocks the front wall (10f) to generate a knocking sound.
