A cigarette which has a tobacco part comprising shreded tobacco wrapped with wrapping paper, a filter part connected with one end of the tobacco part, and a chip paper covering the base end of the tobacco part and the filter part to connect the tobacco part with the filter part and form a single piece cigarette and having a plurality of ventilation holes bored at a position apart from the smoking end along the circumference of the tobacco part, wherein the tobacco part has a rod length of 30 to 46 mm, the shreded tobacco has a density of 180 to 270 mg/cm3, the wrapping paper has a weight of 17 to 21 g/m2 and contains a filler comprising calcium carbonate compounded in a ratio of 16 to 25 wt % and has a content of calcium carbonate of 3 g/m2 or more, and the number of times of smoking in the standard state is 6 or more.
