Cinnamoyl derivatives represented by the general formula (I) which have inhibitory effects on type I collagen gene transcription: (I) wherein A is a benzene ring or a pyridine ring; Y.alpha. is a group on carbon which is selected from group X0 or group Y0, with the proviso that two adjacent Y.alpha.~s may form a group selected from group Z0 and fused with the ring A; q is an integer of 0 to 5; group X0 includes OH and so on; group Y0 includes 3- to 12-membered carbo- and hetero-cycles which may be substituted with OH or the like; group Z0 includes 5- to 12-membered carbo- and hetero-cycles fused with the ring A which cycles may be substituted with thio or the like; Q.alpha. is optionally substituted hydroxy or amino; W.alpha. is O or - NT.alpha.- (wherein T.alpha. is H or a substituent); and K.alpha. and L.alpha. are each H or a substituent, or K.alpha. and L.alpha. may form optionally substituted, C1-10 alkylene or alkenylene, with the proviso that the compound wherein A is a benzene ring, W.alpha. is O, K.alpha. and L.alpha. form 1,3- butadienylene, Q.alpha. is OH, q is 1, and Y.alpha. is OEt is excluded.

L'invention concerne des dérivés de cinnamoyle de formule générale (I) présentant des effets inhibiteurs sur la transcription de gènes du collagène de type I. Dans ladite formule : A représente une cycle benzène ou un cycle pyridine ; Y¿.alpha.? représente un groupe carbone sélectionné à partir du groupe X¿0? ou Y¿0?, sous réserve que deux Y¿.alpha.? adjacents puissent former un groupe sélectionné à partir du groupe Z¿0? et soient condensés avec le cycle A ; q est un nombre entier compris entre 0 et 5 ; le groupe X¿0? comprend OH, etc. ; le groupe Y¿0? comporte des hétérocycles et des carbocycles comprenant entre 3 et 12 éléments pouvant être substitués par OH ou analogues ; le groupe Z¿0? comporte des hétérocycles et des carbocycles comprenant entre 5 et 12 éléments condensés avec le cycle A, ces cycles pouvant être substitués par thio ou analogues ; Q¿.alpha.? représente éventuellement hydroxy ou amino substitué ; W¿.alpha.? représente O ou -NT¿.alpha.?- (T¿.alpha.? représentant H ou un substituant) ; et K¿.alpha.? et L¿.alpha.? représentent chacun H ou un substituant, ou K¿.alpha.? et L¿.alpha.? peuvent former alkylène ou alkénylène C¿1-10 ?éventuellement substitué, sous réserve que le composé dans lequel A représente un cycle benzène, W¿.alpha.? représente O, K¿.alpha.? et L¿.alpha.? forment 1,3 butadiénylène, Q¿.alpha.? représente OH, q vaut 1, et Y¿.alpha.? représente OEt soit exclu.
