A circuit arrangement for pulsated charging of batteries that comprises: an alternating current source that has a predetermined inductance; a pair of bridge branches each comprising a parallel arrangement of a capacitor and a semiconductor switch element being preferably a diode or a thyristor, and the branches are connected to respective ones of the terminals of the source in such a way that the semiconductor elements in both branches are connected with similar electrodes to the associated one of the terminals; and a rectifier with alternative current terminals connected to the free ends of the bridge branches and with direct current terminals connected to the battery to be charged. A method for pulse charging batteries by using an alternating current source has also been provided which is characterized by the steps of modifying the increasing portions of the charging pulses by the addition of energy stored in reactive elements to increase in a larger extent relative to the rate of increase of said source and the decreasing portions to decrease more rapidly relative to the rate of decrease of the source.
La présente invention concerne un mécanisme de circuit destiné au chargement pulsé de batteries, qui comprend: une source de courant alternatif d'une inductance prédéterminée; une paire de jambes de pont comprenant chacune un agencement parallèle de capacité et de commutateur semiconducteur, de préférence une diode ou un thyristor, les jambes étant reliées aux bornes de la source de façon que les commutateurs semiconducteurs de chaque jambe sont reliés par des électrodes correspondantes aux bornes associées; un redresseur dont les bornes de courant alternatif sont reliées aux extrémités libres des jambes de pont et dont les bornes de courant continu sont reliées à la batterie à charger. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de chargement pulsé de batterie faisant appel à une source de courant alternatif, qui est caractérisé en ce que l'on modifie les parties montantes des impulsions de chargement en ajoutant l'énergie stockée dans les éléments réactifs afin d'augmenter encore plus la pente de montée de la source et que l'on modifie les parties descendantes afin de faire décroître encore plus rapidement la pente de décroissance de la source.
