Disclosed is a circuit arrangement for supplying a lamp wattage to a high- pressure gas discharge lamp (Lp) in the form of an alternating current having an operating frequency, said operating frequency being frequency-modulated within large limits. The time characteristic of the operating frequency is selected such that more power is supplied to the lamp at greater frequencies, thus reducing the risk of exciting acoustic resonance in the lamp. Amplitude modulation through the frequency response of an interface (L1, C2, C3) is compensated by means of the time characteristic of the operating frequency.
L'invention concerne un ensemble circuit destiné à fournir une puissance de lampe à une lampe à décharge à haute pression (Lp) sous la forme d'un courant alternatif présentant une fréquence de service. Cette fréquence de service est modulée dans de larges limites. La variation dans le temps de cette fréquence de service est sélectionnée, de sorte qu'en cas de fréquences supérieures, davantage d'énergie est fournie à la lampe. Le risque que des résonances acoustiques soient engendrées dans la lampe est ainsi réduit. Une modulation d'amplitude par la réponse en fréquence d'un réseau de connexion (L1, C2, C3) est compensée par la variation dans le temps de la fréquence de service.
