PHD 77128 31.3.78 ABSTRACT: In circuit arrangements for monolithic inte- grated threshold switches the switching range of the threshold switch is adapted to the minimum voltage which can occur. As this is 4 V at the most, the switching range, if it is to remain reliable both for the upper and the lower switching point, can at the most be approximately 3 V. In other similar threshold switches with a fixed switching range, i.e. with the so-called fixed hysteresis, spurious voltages of the order of magnitude of the switching voltage range oc- cur, in particular when higher battery voltages are used, which may attain up to + 15 V. In order to obtain a larger distance to the spurious voltages at least at the higher operating voltages, circuit arrangements are proposed, in which the threshold switch has a switching range which automatically adapts itself to the instan- taneous battery voltage, which is referred to as float- ing hysteresis. - 23 -
