Abstract of the Disclosure Apparatus for firing the valves in parallel connected valve in first and second valve branches is disclosed. More particularly, means is provided for providing firing pulses to at least a first valve in the first valve branch. Further means is provided for which includes a transformer determining the difference in the current carried by the aforesaid first valve and a second valve adjacent thereto in the second valve branch. The latter further means also comprises a threshold member which, when the current dif- ference determined by the transformer exceeds a predetermined value, causes the one of the first and second valves carrying to lesser current to receive firing pulses. Various embodiments of the aforesaid apparatus are disclosed.
