ABSTRACT A line synchronizing circuit in a television receiver including a gabed phase discriminator. Because the circuit may lock in to an equalizing pulse occurring before and after the field synchronization pulses, which may give rise to a vertically divided image, gating is rendered inoperative for a given time after the post- equalisation time.
