A circuit card connector that utilizes flexible circuitry includes one or more isolator portions attached to its base that serve to substantially isolate the base of the connector from the circuit board to which the connector is mounted. The isolator portions include feet that extend out from the connector and which partially support the flexible circuitry. These isolator portions are made from thermally insulative material and serve to prevent heat transfer to the connector base from occurring during soldering of the flexible circuitry conductive portions to the circuit board.
La présente invention a pour objet un connecteur de carte à circuits utilisant des éléments de circuiterie flexibles et comportant un ou plusieurs isolateurs raccordés à sa base pour assurer une quasi-totale isolation entre la base du connecteur et la plaquette de circuits sur laquelle le connecteur est monté. Les parties isolantes comportent des pieds qui sont en prolongement à l'extérieur du connecteur et qui supportent partiellement les circuits flexibles. Ces parties isolantes sont fabriquées d'un matériau isolant et servent à prévenir le transfert de chaleur vers la base du connecteur durant le soudage des éléments de la circuiterie flexible à la plaquette de circuits.
