ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A circuit device for the automatic control of an entry light is disclosed. The circuit device includes a thermal sensitive detector to sense the radiated energy of an approached person and generate a control signal, an amplifying circuit to receive and amplify the control signal, a switching circuit to generate an actuating signal in responsive to the existence of the control signal, and an electromagnetic switch to closed the electrical circuit of the entry light. The switching circuit may preferably includes a photo resistor to make sure that the entry light will not be turned on during day time. Also the switching circuit may include a time delay circuit to automatically turn off the entry light after a preset or the person has entered the entry door of a building.
