A GFCI device (10) which has reverse wiring protection is provided where no power is present at the face terminals (16, 24) even when the device is reverse wired. The device also has a reset lockout feature that prevents it from being reset after having been tripped if the circuit interrupting portion of the device is non-operational.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'interrupteur de défaut à la terre comportant une protection du câblage inverse où il n'existe pas de puissance au niveau des bornes de face même lorsque le dispositif comprend un câblage inverse. Le dispositif comporte une paire de ponts mobiles connectés à ses bornes. La paire de ponts à bornes établit le contact avec la charge et les bornes de face, ce qui fournit ainsi de la puissance à ces bornes lorsque le dispositif est réenclenché. Le dispositif comprend également une caractéristique de verrouillage du réenclenchement qui l'empêche d'être réenclenché après avoir été déclenché si la partie d'interruption du circuit dudit dispositif n'est pas opérationnelle.
