ABSTRACT Circuit with adjustable amplifiers for microphones, receivers, loudspeakers, dial signal generators or the like and/or adjustable or simulated resistances for impedance matching, filter functions, frequency-correction systems, drift-compensation systems, or the like, in use in telephone apparatuses or tele- phone systems or apparatuses that are connected to telephone lines or the like, with adjustable amplifiers and passive components that are digitally adjustable as a function of binary coded regulating value data words. All the regulating value inter- mediate stores are connected to associated storage locations of a non-volatile central store or are themselves configured as components of the non-volatile central store, within which the regulating value data words provided for the individual inter- mediate stores can be read in from an external data source by means of a serial data bus. All the adjustable amplifiers and resistances together with their associated intermediate stores with their power supply system that is powered through the speaking lines and either the central store itself or the connectors for an external central store with all the connecting lines and switching circuits are combined into a single component by inte- grated circuit technology.
