More specifically, with the use of such spectrophotometric methods in the measurement of cholesterol levels and direct measurement of cholesterol subfractions in clinical samples, and in the measurement of lipoprotein levels in a clinical test sample, as well as in the detection of anabolic steroids and other steroid products. The invention is also concerned with providing certain CD and conventional spectrophotometric apparatus useful in each of the aforesaid chemical methods.
