Annular drying element (15) for mounting on a rotor axle in a drying plant for indirect heating or cooling of moist, comminuted, biological material such as fishmeal, offal from slaughterhouses, mash from breweries and similar materials of animal, vegetable or chemical origin. The drying element is configured with a number of through-going openings (25) extending from the one side of the element to the other. The drying element can be made of two identical, annular plate elements (16) with holes (25), in that tubular stays are welded between oppositely-lying holes. Through the openings (25), elongated elements can be inserted which increase the stirring in the product mass which is to be heat-treated.
L'invention se rapporte à un élément (15) annulaire de séchage, destiné à être monté sur l'axe d'un rotor dans une installation de séchage et à chauffer ou refroidir un matériau biologique humide et haché, tel que de la chair de poisson, des abats venant d'abattoirs, de la pâte venant de brasseries ou des matériaux similaires d'origine animale, végétale ou chimique. L'élément de séchage comprend un certain nombre d'orifices (25) traversants, qui s'étendent d'un côté à l'autre dudit élément. L'élément de séchage peut être constitué de deux plaques (16) annulaires identiques et munies de trous (25), les renforts tubulaires étant soudés entre des trous opposés. Des éléments allongés peuvent insérés à travers lesdits orifices (25) de façon à intensifier le brassage de la masse de produits à traiter par la chaleur.
