LD 8193 CIRCULAR FLUORESCENT LAMP UNIT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A circular fluorescent lamp unit has a compact central hub containing a ballast reactor and provided with a screw base. A replaceable circular lamp assembly is positioned around and attached to the hub. The circular lamp assembly is provided with a circular light bulb, a sleeve ring surrounding the hub and providing detachable connection to it, and a plurality of spokes extending outwardly from the sleeve ring and supporting the circular light bulb. After the central hub hub is screwed into a lamp socket, the sleeve ring of the circular lamp assembly is attached to the hub, and a lamp harp is installed by passing the harp through spaces between the spokes.
